On Business

Boracay’s main source of income and economic contribution comes from its Tourism industry. The island and its beaches have received numerous awards from a variety of travel publications and agencies. Whilst the island has always had a strong reputation as a relaxation destination, the island is also emerging amongst top destinations for its nightlife.

Outside of tourism, the island is home to many national and international sporting competitions. One of the venues of the Asian Windsurfing Tour is in Boracay as well as the annual week long Boracay International Funboard Cup competition. The Philippine Dragon Boat Federation hold their annual dragon boat races in Boracay, with teams coming in from other Asian nations to compete.

In 2011, a real estate development group earmarked PHP20 billion to develop tourism estates in Boracay and Cavite. In 2012, international travel magazine Travel + Leisure awarded Boracay the best island in the world.

  1. I’ve been browsing on-line more than three hours lately, but I
never discovered any fascinating article like
yours. It is beautiful value sufficient for me. Personally, if all site
owners and bloggers made excellent content material as
you probably did, the web will likely be a lot more useful than ever before.
